THE NFB IN LIBRARIES
Raising awareness
about gender-based violence
Dear librarian,

Here is a selection of films to mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence which begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until December 10, Human Rights Day. The campaign began in 1991 to unite voices in denouncing violence against women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people).

Quebec is concentrating on twelve days, ending on December 6, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women, to mark the events that transpired on December 6th, 1989 at the École Polytechnique de Montréal.

Organizing discussions with local organizations can help address and facilitate conversations around sensitive issues.
